Here's a blog that I thought I'd posted earlier but apparently it never made it:
Isn't life interesting? It's so crazy how little life seems to change until you look back and see where you came from. At my last post:
I was working at Mimis. No longer there - I quit about 3 weeks ago. (Now it's been about 1.5 months.) I am now an admin (not a secretary <-- evil word) at a local real estate office. More hours, less work, more consistent pay, less weird people. (Every job has it's pros and cons.)
I was single and loving it. I am again single and mostly okay with it. I did manage to have 2 boyfriends and a few non-committal make-out sessions in the meantime. (I have come to the conclusion that I am not really the kind of person who can date someone to get to know them - I have to know them first otherwise I won't invest.)
I am drinking more (kinda what happens when you date a bartender). Well, drinking more consistently, getting drunk way less (said bartender also keeps tabs on how much you drink). Due to which:
I am now charged with a misdemeanor... public display/consumption of alcohol in public (throw in an illegal immigrant and upset parents for a fabulous evening of absolutely no sleep). Court date is Wednesday. Been to court: $25 fine plus $25 court fees. Expensive bottle of beer. But thankfully that was it.
There has been a few really good things... I have officially been accepted to the Hebrew University. Yet, I got accepted very late in the large scheme of things and am having a very difficult time finding a way to fund this crazy adventure I'm trying to go on. I've missed the deadlines. Plus now that Israel decides that war sounds like a fun game, there are many people trying to dissuade me from this course. I have decided to tell those "people" to just shuddup. I am also simply taking out a loan to pay for it all. Woohoo! Bring on the culture shock! That about sums it up.
