"Guess who's back...
Back again.
Shady's back....
Tell a friend."

Every time in the past few weeks that I have considered blogging that phrase comes to mind. I guess I've been silent for awhile! Christmas was awesome. One of the best ever. I guess when money's a little tight more thought goes into the presents. I can honestly say that this is the first Christmas I have both laughed until I cried and simply cried while opening presents (the presents were pj bottoms and a teddy bear - you figure out which was which). The rest of the season has been fun. A couple of friends came into town, it was good to see them again. Been playing a ton of games with my family (settlers of Catan, Lord of the Rings Risk, Rail Baron, plus a lot of card games just to list a few)...

Hmm... See? This is why I have not been blogging much. I have nothing to say! Other than Christmas being fun, I am working for my dad for a week or two so at least I have a small income while job searching. And... that's all folks! Maybe I'll come up with something interesting in the next few days.

I wanted a baked potato. Checking the fridge I was relieved to discover that there was one still left over from last night's dinner. Throwing it into the microwave, I headed over to the silverware drawer to grab a knife and fork. My sister had just finished putting away the clean dishes and had planted herself against the very drawer I was aiming for. I told her to move: "Move." She stepped back just enough (aren't sisters great?) to let me slip a hand into the silverware to grab what I needed. However, to my utmost shock, the silverware was not in their little divided compartments as was the custom but rather in a COMPLETE AND TOTAL MESS! I was horrified! No longer could I reach into the drawer and pull out the utensil I needed! I turned on my sister, "What in the heck did you do??" Very calmly she replied that this haphazard way was better. It added an element of surprise. I was speechless. Never before had my sister done something this... this... INSANE! I simply stood there and stared at her in disbelief.

Then I woke up. Praise Jesus.
