I passed :)
I passed it! Yay! I have finally successfully completed my first level of Hebrew. Whoop whoop! (Only five more to go...)

School has been ... well, school. Mostly good but some not so good. I have been rather lethargic lately and have not been keeping as much as I should. Since there is no homework or assignments really it takes a lot of disciple to keep working on everything. So... meh.

Travelling has come to a bit of standstill. The focus has been on actually trying to get some of that school work done. Plus, after Egypt and my Mom's visit, I was ready for a break. However, starting this weekend, we'll be getting in some last minute trips (Petra, Sinai, etc) before everyone goes home for the summer or permanently.

Last weekend was interesting. Chelsea and I met Courtney at the Ticho House for dinner. Svenja caught up with us as we were leaving. As we walked downtown we came upon the mildest protest I have ever seen (since all my protest experience comes from television, this is not really surprising). The Hebrew University students (not my department - the foreign students are separate) have been on strike for the last month and half. Something about the government not giving them enough money for their education. On Thursday night, they had a "gathering" in the middle of the main downtown street. We watched for a while. Nothing really happened. Even the police and IDF were sitting around smoking. It did get interesting once the law enforcement decided that they had been blocking traffic for long enough. (Apparently they had been there for most of the day - it was after midnight at this point.) A couple of people were picked up and tossed into the police vans. The occasionally pushing and shoving backed up with some chanting did led a little bit of interest. Everyone was disbursed by 1am though - I think the rain and the open bars might have had more to do with it than the police...

Back to the library! Woohoo! Aren't ya jealous?
